Why we started MiceConnex
In 2017, our founders kept hearing the same complaint from HR managers and corporate event planners across Kuala Lumpur: sourcing a venue is exhausting. You email ten hotels, get ten different quote formats, chase missing AV pricing, fight surprise service tax, and after weeks of back-and-forth you still don't really know if you're getting a fair deal.
We built MiceConnex to fix exactly that. One brief in, three to five matched venues back — in a standardised format you can present to procurement. We do the venue research, negotiate the pricing, flag the red flags, and stay involved through booking and run-up to the event itself.
Eight years later we've helped 150+ companies — from listed corporates like Astro, KPJ and Bank Islam to growing SMEs — run conferences, training programmes, AGMs, annual dinners and team building events across Malaysia. The model hasn't changed: free for clients, neutral on venues, accountable to the brief.
